Why the name Tiller? A Tiller is a lever for steering a boat’s rudder. A Tiller is very important to guide the boat comfortably through waters with the competent hand of the captain. The inspiration for the brand came from the classic teak seaworthy boats of the Barneget Bay of Toms River New Jersey.

The Tiller brand is associated with classic quality, comfortable for all day wear from early morning meetings to midday golf and early dinner. I am Matthew Cafero I am a Senior in college and during my summers I would spend time at my Family’s Toms River home where I was introduced to harbor life, the salt air and nautical culture. Tiller’s style is my style and the style that I love.
